Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken rotisserie recommended for convenience
  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup milk or heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup carrots sliced
  • 1 cup celery sliced
  • 1 tbsp flour optional for thickening
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Build the Flavor Base
  2. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, carrots, and celery. Sauté for 5–6 minutes, until the vegetables soften and the onions turn translucent. Add the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Thicken the Broth (Optional)
  4. If you want your Chicken and Noodles extra creamy, sprinkle the flour over the vegetables. Stir well and cook for 1 minute. This helps create a silky texture.
  5. Add Liquid & Seasoning
  6. Pour in the chicken broth and stir to combine. Add dried thyme, dried parsley, salt, and pepper. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil.
  7. Add the Noodles
  8. Stir in the egg noodles and cook for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the noodles are soft and tender.
